DIY Beaded Monogram Letter

Put a little bit of bling in her life with this simple beaded letter. The string of beads makes them easy to glue onto the letter form. Finish with magnets so the letter can be added to a school locker, or secure with a picture frame hardware.

Difficulty level: Intermediate
Time required: 30 minutes
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Wooden letter
String of beads
Magnets

Things to do:
1. Warm up your hot glue gun. Start by applying glue to the letter, and lay the string on the glue.

2. Continue working down the letter, first applying the glue and then adding the string of beads. You’ll have to do some planning as you work if you want to apply the string in one long pass, rather than having to cut it at different points throughout. But either way works well!

3. Add the beads on top of the whole letter, then use hot glue on the back to apply the round craft magnets (you’ll need at least 4 per wooden letter). Alternatively, you can apply frame hardware to the back instead.
