DIY Autumn Acorn Wreath

Have fun arranging all of your favorite pieces of autumn to create a gorgeous wreath to adorn your door. This DIY project is quick and simple, leaving you with a beautiful piece of handcrafted decor that you’re sure to enjoy this season.

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 1 hour
Age range: 12 and Up

Things you’ll need:
Flat styrofoam wreath form
Pinecones
Artificial flowers
Acorns
Putka pods
Jute
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Scissors

Things to do:
1. The first thing you want to do is cover the wreath form with jute. This will create a beautiful backdrop for your fall florals. Apply a small drop of hot glue and attach the end of a piece of jute directly to the Styrofoam. Once the hot glue has dried, begin wrapping the string around the wreath.

2. Once the entire surface has been covered, cut the jute and use hot glue to secure the end to the wreath.
3. Now it’s time to decorate! Start with the larger pieces, such as artificial flowers and pinecones. To add a sunflower, pull the bloom off the stem and press it down into the Styrofoam. To add pinecones, use a drop of hot glue on the flat portion and press them onto the jute.

4. Finish the wreath by using hot glue to attach acorns and miniature pumpkins.
