Decorative Beaded Holiday Tree

This bead tree, reminiscent of a winterberry covered tree, is a simple, pretty addition to your holiday decor. Although we covered this tree first in white yarn to fill the gaps, you could back the tree with another color yarn, felt or just leave it as is.

Things you’ll need:
Styrofoam cone or fiberboard doll cone
String of red beads
White yarn
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Starting at the top, dab glue and start wrapping the yarn around the tree. Continue to glue and wrap until it’s covered. Trim the tails of the yarn.

2. Once the glue is dry and again starting at the top, add a larger dab of glue to the side of the tree and press the beads in. Adding more as you go around.

3. Keeping the beads as close together as possible, continue to glue the string of beads onto the tree until you reach the bottom. Make sure the end is secure and trim any stray threads before displaying.
