Classic Printed Apple and Paper Bag Wreath


Fall and apples go hand in hand. They are the iconic fruit for the season until the pumpkins come in in late fall and you really cant beat an apple for looks, taste and decorative qualities. This wreath is a different take on the classic apple, and just the thing for a back to school look. Apples and paper bags! It’s a fantastic craft for the classroom or the house and one your kiddos will love to help with!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 20 minutes plus dry time

Things you’ll need:
Apples
Acrylic craft paint in red and green
Flat wreath form
Knife
Paintbrush
Scissors
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Paper grocery bags

Things to do:
1. Cut your apple in half, making sure the seed pods show.
2. Open up your bags so that you can print on the front and back easily.
3. Paint a light coat of red paint on your apple halves and print onto the paper bag in rows so that you can get three across. Leave a little room around each apple.

4. Dab a little green paint onto a thumb of finger and press above the apple to make leaves.
5. Allow the paint to dry. Carefully cut out each apple with a little room around to show the paper bag.

6. Overlapping the apples” slightly, glue the apples around the wreath. Allow the glue to dry before hanging.
