Chalkboard Paint Tags

I keep a stash of old school hang tags in my craft cupboard at all times. They are versatile, fun and oh so useful. I’ve used them for gift tags, organization tools and even business cards. And recently, I turned a whole pile of them into reusable labels with another of my favorite craft items, chalkboard paint!

Things you’ll need:
Hang tags
Ribbon
Scrap paper
Chalkboard paint
Scissors

Things to do:
1. First remove the wires (if there are any) from the labels and discard (or save for another project)

2. Lay the labels out on scrap paper or newsprint and spray with a thin coat of chalkboard paint. You’ll want each side to have at least three coats of paint. Make sure you allow each layer to dry before you spray again.
3. Once dry, cut a length of ribbon and string through the hole for an easy (and cute!) way to attach the tags. These are great for toy bins, gifts, place cards and any number of uses! Simply write on them with chalk and wipe clean when done!
