Top of the Morning to You! That’s right, it’s about that time of year when the leprechauns leave their gold out and everyone is wearing green! These cute little hair clips will get you in the St Patrick’s Day mood and a bit of the Emerald Isle to your outfit. Be sure to attach the bobby pins flat side to the hat so that the both adhere to the hat well and hold better in your hair.
Difficulty level: Moderate
Time required: 10 minutes plus dry time
Things you’ll need:
Tiny top hats
Green and/or gold spray paint
Glitter spray
Bobby pins
Narrow yellow ribbon
Scissors
Super glue
Things to do:
1. In a well ventilated and covered work area, spray paint your hats with two or three coats of paint and then one of glitter, allowing each layer to dry before adding the next.
2. Wrap ribbon around each hat and trim so that the ends just overlap, secure the ribbons in place with a drop of super glue.
3. Flip the hats bottom side up and glue the bobby pin flat sides down to the hats. Allow them to dry completely before wearing.
