Baker’s Twine Snowflake Gift Tags

These quick and fun tags are a great activity to fill a cold afternoon for the little ones. How many spokes on the snowflake depends, entirely, on how many slits you cut around the tag and it’s always fun to see what shapes the kids will make and your giftees will love these fun little tags. Instead of baker’s twine, try colorful embroidery thread or yarn for a different look!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: Less that five minutes per tag

Thing you’ll need:
Round tags
Scissors
String, baker’s twine, yarn or embroidery thread

Things to do:
1. Cut small slits at even intervals around the tag, as many as you like.

2. Slip one end of the string into one of the slits so that the tail is on the back side of the tag.
3. Wrap the string around the tag into the slits to create a pattern.
4. Slip the string in through one more slit to the back side and trim the end.

5. Add a loop of string through the hole and tie off for attaching to the gift.
