DIY Fabric Bubble Hair Bow Tutorial

Make this poof bow from a simple circle of cloth, and some running stitches. It’s simple to make and will wow your little girl! You can make this in different sizes by adjusting the size of the circle.

Things you’ll need:
Cloth napkin
Hot glue gun
Glue sticks
Scissors
Silver metal barrette
Needle
Thread
Medium-sized plate to trace
Pencil

Things to do:
1. Warm up your hot glue gun and thread your needle with a long length of thread, knotting it at one end. Trace the plate onto your fabric.

2. Take long running stitches about 1/4 ” from the edge of the circle.

3. Once you’ve gone all the way around the circle, begin to pull the thread so the circle starts closing up, as shown.

4. Make sure the hole is in the center. Continue to pull the thread until the circle looks like the one shown. Take a couple of stitches to secure, then tie off the thread and clip.

5. Cut a strip of fabric to about 8 inches long and 1/2 ” wide.

6. Fold the circle as shown, cinching the middle. It helps to fold it a bit like a paper fan.

7. Stitch through the center to secure.

8. Glue the strip around the center of the bow, and trim any excess.

9. Glue the barrette to the back.
