DIY 3-D Tree Tag

Get into the gift-wrapping spirit this season with some fun tags that will take your presents up a notch and fill your giftees with glee. These little square tags, while cute enough on their own, are even better with a little 3-D tree detail. Choose a double or single layer of trees for different looks and decorate with glitter, seed beads or leave the trees as is. Either way they’ll look fabulous on your packages and parcels.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 10 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Square tags
Green cardstock
Bone folder
Scissors
Craft glue

Things to do:
1. Cut a square of green cardstock out that is 1/3 smaller than the tag. Using the square, cut out an equilateral triangle. You’ll want two identical triangles for a double layer tag.

2. Run the edge of the bone folder down the center of the triangle to crease and fold it in half.
3. For a single layer tag, glue the folded edge onto the center of the tag. For a double layer, glue the folded edge onto the second triangle and, once dry, glue both onto the tag. Add ribbon or string to tie.
