5-Minute Cinnamon Stick Tree Ornament

It’s that time of year, my friends! Holiday decorating time!! And nothing says Christmas to me like the scent of cinnamon! These cinnamon trees are so fun to make and can be sized up or down depending on how long your cinnamon sticks are. Perfect for ornaments, wreath decorations or gift toppers, they add just the right bit of whimsical fun and yummy scent.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 15 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Cinnamon sticks
Fabric strips or ribbon
Iron
Spray starch or Stiffy Fabric Stiffener (optional)
Bakers twine
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Cut three strips of fabric or ribbon of varying lengths, each one slightly shorter than the next.

2. Iron with starch or soak in Stiffy Fabric Stiffener to flatten or stiffin the ribbon/fabric.
3. Tie the longest one near one end of the cinnamon stick and knot firmly. Evenly space the next two with the second longest in the middle and the shortest one at the top. The stiffener will help the branches stick straight out.

4. Flip the tree over and glue a loop of bakers twine at the top end for hanging.
