Legend has it that in the Middle Ages, European farmers' crops were persistently being destroyed by pests. The farmers decided to pray to the Virgin Mary in hopes for a successful harvest. Soon after, the crops' sustainability was improving, and tiny red, black-spotted beetles began to populate their farms. They were then named, "The Beetles of Our Lady," which translated later to "Lady Beetles." Most recently, they are simply referred to as "ladybugs." The red on their bodies represents Mary's cloak, and their black spots represent Her joys and sorrows.
So let us celebrate healthy, thriving gardens, as well as our darling feathered friends! Adorn your fairy gardens, terrariums, patios, and more with this Ladybug Birdhouse! This sweet, ladybug-shaped bird sanctuary has a predominately black, wooden base, adorned in a resin sheet of black-speckled, cranberry-red wings. A tiny black head emerges from its wings with tiny, circular mauve eyes and spirally, wire antennae. Between its wings is the house's small, round entrance and petite standing ledge. Its backside shows its house-shaped dimension, providing a little vacancy for miniature birdies. It comes with a bendable, adjustable, removable black wire. Feel free to replace this with a matching ribbon or twine to increase its hanging location and height! Adhere it to a beautiful tree! It can also stand on its own, so go ahead and prop it on any flat surface! Made of wood. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
