How did these get the name Shaker Pegs? Since they did not have closets, the Shakers used pegs mounted on wood pegboards to hang clothing, for drying racks, kitchen utensils, herbs, and even chairs. Hence the name "Shaker Pegs"

Pegs are pegs, use them all the time. These are fine. Still have not found a peg with a short end that goes in the wood. I always have to cut some off because they would go all the way through the wood when drilling a hole to put them in.
