"I purchased this set in order to teach my Nieces how to make potholders. The loom and hook are made from a sturdy plastic and metal and will last for many potholdermaking sessions. The loops that were included in the set are a disappointment in quality. The colors are fantastic..but some of the nylon loops are unusable due to half of the loop being just a couple of threads or the nylon not in loop shape at alljust a strand of nylon. I was glad I purchased the extra bag of loops (which happen to be of jersey material) and they saved us from running short."

"I ordered this for my adult sister, who has been asking for a loom and loops for years! When she opened her loom and loops on Christmas morning, she started making a potholder before our family was even done opening presents! I may be old fashioned, but I prefer the loops that are rougher and not as uniform as these are, but they work just fine, and sister doesnt seem to mind! "

"Gave as Christmas gift to 11-year old niece. She read directions and started making a pot-holder right away. 4 stars is due to instructions leaving out that rows should alternate in looping method in order to create the basket weave. But we figured it out and she corrected. Fun and functional activity."
